Email contact@blendeen.comA team (Groups tab) is a persistent group with a roster, recurring practices, and its own events — built for something ongoing, like a club or a regular pickup group. A one-time event (Home tab) is a standalone, single occurrence not tied to any team. Teams and one-time events don't share membership — joining one doesn't join the other.
Ask the organizer for an invite link or QR code. Tap the link (or scan the code from the Home tab or a team's page) and you'll be added automatically.
A team admin sets a weekly day and time from the team page's "Recurring Practices" section. Blendeen automatically creates each week's practice as an event ahead of time and adds every team member to it — nobody has to remember to schedule it. If an admin changes the day or time, any upcoming practice nobody has responded to yet moves to match; ones people already RSVPed to are left alone.
Yes — when you're individually invited to an event, the notification you receive includes Yes/No buttons so you can RSVP directly from the notification banner.
Verifying your email is required before you can create your own one-time events, and it's what makes account recovery possible if you ever lose your device — it's a simple way to keep events accountable to a real person.
On the welcome screen, tap the icon in the top-right corner and choose "Restore Account." Enter the email on your existing account and we'll send a code to that email to sign you back in. This only works for accounts with a verified email, and your new device will need to pass the same security check a first-time signup does.
You'll get a push notification when someone messages an event you're in, when there's an update about an event you're attending, or when you're individually invited to an event. Tapping the notification itself opens that event; you can also mute notifications for a specific event from that event's menu.
A team admin sets this up from the team's overflow menu → "Team Settings." Off by default; once turned on, admins pick how squads are decided — Manual (each player picks their own team, which also counts as RSVPing yes), Least Players (auto-balanced by headcount), Random, or Smart (currently balances the same way as Least Players — real skill-based matching is planned but not built yet). Admins can also set the two squads' colors and how many players are needed (minimum) or allowed (maximum) for the event.
Yes, if a team admin sets one in Team Settings. Once that many people have RSVPed yes, further RSVPs are turned away with an "event is full" message — already-attending players and switching squads are never affected.
Yes, if the team has team-splitting on. From the event page, admins can add one or more games under the "Games" section (a practice can have several short scrimmages, each with its own score) — the score is just Team A's points vs. Team B's, using whichever split was already set for that event.
A team admin can turn this on from "Group Settings" (overflow menu on the team page). Once on, every member's row on the roster shows Paid or Not Paid, and admins can toggle it from that member's menu — visible to everyone on the team, not just admins.
If a team admin sets an RSVP reminder lead time in "Group Settings," anyone who hasn't responded yet gets a push a set number of hours before the event. Off by default.
Yes — from the event page's overflow menu, admins can cancel with an optional reason (this works for both team events and one-time events). Everyone on that event gets notified, and it's marked "Cancelled" — it stays visible with its full roster, chat, and history, but RSVPs and new messages are locked. This can't be undone.
An admin can archive it from the team's overflow menu. The team becomes read-only — no new members, events, or practices — but the roster, past events, and messages all stay fully visible. This is also one-way; a new team gets created for the next season.
Long-press their message for a "Report Message" or "Block User" option. Reporting sends the message straight to us for review. Blocking is immediate and one-directional — you'll stop seeing their messages (and stop getting notified about them) in any team or event you share, and they're never told. You can see and undo blocks anytime from Profile → Blocked Users.
No — Home shows your upcoming events first, then a "Past" section underneath with anything from the last few days, each marked "Finished" (or "Cancelled" if an admin cancelled it). You can't RSVP or change your response once an event has already happened.
Open the Profile tab and tap "Delete Account" near the bottom, then confirm. This immediately erases your profile information and removes you from every team and event. If you'd rather we handle it for you, email contact@blendeen.com.
